Seamless Luxury. Unforgettable Golf.

Paul organized a trip to Japan for myself and seven friends last September. This was our first experience with Paul and we were not 100% sure what to expect, but we were optimistic because we were aware of Paul's illustrious professional background and his reputation as a highly likeable and overall good guy. One thing we did know is that the culture of private golf course access and norms is very different in many countries than it is back home, particularly in Japan and east Asia. We had very little experience with golf travel outside of Europe, and we were particularly concerned with the difficulties of navigating the often impenetrable Japanese culture, not to mention the language barrier and jet lag. As it turned out, we had nothing to worry about. Our pre-trip communication was primarily through Paul's capable staff, who took care of the many logistical details related to flights and lodging. As the trip grew closer we started communicating with Paul through a WhatsApp group he created. He did a masterful job of getting us excited while informing us of the expectations required for us to be welcome to Japan's ultra exclusive private clubs (such as, for example, not wearing bright colors and arriving to the club properly dressed). The first morning of the program Paul greeted us and we were transported to our first round. We were already brimming with anticipation and Paul added to it by giving us an introduction to his Japanese Tour professional career and all the things he learned about the Japanese love of golf (which borders on the obsessive), its illustrious history, and the many things that make it fun and quirky. By the time we got to the course we were incredibly excited and the course and club experience exceeded our expectations. And that was just one of eight unbelievable rounds. It goes without saying that Paul's extensive connections across the golfing world create access opportunities for his clients that most golfers could never dream of. But a trip with Paul is about so much more than that. Paul weaves in cultural and culinary experiences, including memorable meals at his highly curated list of sushi bars, izakaya counters and kobe beef establishments - genuine local places most Westerners would not even know about, let alone be able to get a reservation at. Paul and his team have a wonderful balance of easy-going demeanor and extremely high standards that will turn a potentially daunting trip into an absolute pleasure. Even months later I have had the pleasure of staying connected with Paul, who has been very helpful to me in some of my own travels. I am already starting to plan future adventures with him. I am a well traveled (80 countries +) sports nut and foodie with astronomically high standards, and I normally shy away from organized tours because I like to do my own thing. I have to say that Paul's tour was the best group experience I have ever had. If I could think of anything I would have done differently myself I would have told Paul, but I honestly can't come up with anything. You will have an amazing time.
